Our Team - Introducing ourselves
The office which is now run by the second generation was established in 1955 by  Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Pfister. After his studies of engineering in Munich he founded the office in Memmingen.

In 1996 his son, Dipl.-Phys. Stefan Pfister (born in 1964), joined the management of the office. After his studies of technical physics in Munich he spent one year abroad at the nuclear research centre in Grenoble, France, in order to prepare for his studies to become a Patent Attorney, which he successfully completed in 1995.

In 2001, Patent Attorney Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Manfred Schulz (born in 1948) joined the office. After his studies of measurement technique, control technology and control engineering,

graduated twice at the Humboldt University in Berlin in the field of industrial property. Between 1981 and 1994 he worked in an industry patent division. After operating as an independent  Patent Attorney, he joined our office.

By appointing a lawyer in 1998, we have expanded our consulting services in the field of competition law, trade law, contract of manufacture law and general civil law.
After his law studies in Constance, Attorney Dirk Waldhauser (born in 1971) gained professional experience before he joined our office. Since 2008 Attorney Waldhauser has had the title of “Specialised Solicitor for Industrial Property”.

In 2010, Octobre Patent Attorney Dr. Ruediger Baumann joined ower law firm.

Dr. Ruediger Baumann graduated from Technische Universität München in Munich/Germany and I.N.R.A. in Orléans/France with a Diploma Degree in Forest and Timber Engineering and in 2004 from Technische Universität München in Weihenstephan/Germany with a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology. Being active in the IP-field since 2005 Dr. Ruediger Baumann was admitted as German Patent and Trademark Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney in 2009.

Dr. Ruediger Baumann’s practice is focused on patent prosecution and litigation in the areas of classical engineering, mechanical and automotive engineering with a focus on agricultural, forest and timber engineering, on material sciences, structural engineering as well as on the field of biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics.
 


 Our Attorneys are authorized to represent with
  • the German Patent and Trademark Office
  •  the European Patent Office (except Dr. Baumann)
  • the Office of Harmonization for the internal Market
  • the World Intellectual Property Organization
  • the district courts and higher regional courts (Attorney Waldhauser only)

Furthermore, an experienced team of paralegals and intellectual property paralegals as well as further staff (all in all about 20 people) take care of your interests.
