Trademark - Granting of a Licence

The owner of a trademark generally has two options to make use of the idea protected.

Often a trademark is used to protect the owners own production or products, in order to prevent potential imitation on the market. Another option  for making use of a trademark is to allow interested parties to use the trademark, for example in one state of Germany by granting a license, if, for example, one’s  own sales activities have not yet been extended to exactly this state.

We consult and draft the license agreement and take part in negotiations leading to contract conclusion.

Due to the international expansion it will be probably left to independent commercial representatives or distribution companies to advertise reputation, for example a firm trademark, on the market abroad.

We recommend that respective settlements are taken into consideration in  distrubution agreement.
