Before a new product name or an internet domain is actually used, for example for promoting a product or for offering a service, we recommend that research on identical or similar prior trademark rights is conducted. It is important to recognize that trademark rights may develop out of different systems which may finally unfold effect in Germany.

We conduct the research in databases either for trademarks of a competitor, for the trademark itself, for prior firm names or internet domains. The research may be limited to national databases (e.g. in Germany or the United States of America).
